The Orioles’ selection of catcher Adley Rutschman in June with their first No. 1 overall pick in 30 years provided a much needed boost for the fan base.
MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis called Rutschman the best draft prospect since Bryce Harper. Orioles fans packed bars to watch him be drafted and then flocked to see him in Aberdeen, where he hit .325 this summer.
We’re not quite at “every baby in Baltimore is named Adley” territory yet, but we’re not far off.
