2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Aurora Cordingley
It was another terrific season for the Maryland women’s lacrosse team, which went 19-2 overall and made the Final Four. This time around, though, the star was a graduate transfer from Big Ten rival Johns Hopkins. Aurora Cordingley credited her teammates for her huge season (67 goals and 51 assists). “They’ve made it so easy for me, right from the beginning,” she told PressBox in the spring. “Everything, I owe to them. They created such a warm and welcoming environment.”
