Admit it, you always thought left field at Camden Yards surrendered too many cheap home runs, right? Well, the Orioles pushed the left field wall back nearly 30 feet and made the wall as high as 13 feet. It worked. In 2021, Orioles pitchers posted a 6.00 ERA and allowed 155 home runs at Camden Yards. In 2022, they recorded a 3.73 ERA and gave up 72 home runs. That’ll help a team make a 31-game improvement. Just don’t ask Trey Mancini and Ryan Mountcastle what they think about the wall.
