2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Perfection
Maryland left-hander Ryan Ramsey had the start of his life against Northwestern on April 29, tossing the first perfect game in Terps history since Dick Reitz in 1959 and just the 20th nine-inning perfect game in Division I history. The 10-strikeout effort was part of strong season for Ramsey, who was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 13th round of the 2022 MLB Draft. Here’s hoping he gets an opportunity to replicate the feat in the big leagues.
