The jump from MIAA A Conference to Big Ten baseball apparently isn’t as big as it appears. Well, not for first baseman Maxwell Costes, anyway.
The Gilman graduate hit .266/.397/.547 with 30 extra-base hits in 58 games for the Terps in 2019, earning Big Ten Freshman of the Year and first-team All-Big Ten honors.
What’s on deck for the Baltimore native? We’re not suggesting he pitch, too, but hey, he did pitch in relief at Gilman.
