2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Spark
When the Orioles called up top infield prospect Gunnar Henderson for their Aug. 31 game in Cleveland, they had scored a total of 15 runs in their previous six games. Henderson gave the club an immediate spark, hitting a solo home run to lead off the top of the fourth as part of a 4-0 win. Henderson’s helmet flew off his head during the swing, giving fans a glimpse of his “Show hair.”
