2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Global Event
History was made at Towson University’s Unitas Stadium in July, when Team USA became the first host country to ever win the World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship. The U.S. defeated rival Canada in the title game, with Maryland and McDonogh legend Taylor Cummings leading the way as tournament MVP. The tournament attracted big crowds not only for the title game but also for the USA-England matchup, fittingly on the Fourth of July.
