2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Dynasties
The Towson and UMBC volleyball teams are getting the hang of this championship thing. The Tigers won their fourth consecutive CAA title in the fall, while the Retrievers won their third consecutive America East championship. The stats were eye-popping for both teams, but how about one for each? Setters Katie McCracken and Sarah Jordan combined for 1,129 assists for the 29-2 Tigers. Outside hitters Mia Bilusic and Kamani Conteh combined for 780 kills for the 17-9 Retrievers. We could easily keep going.
