2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Zoe Hurlburt
Zoe Hurlburt led the Mount St. Mary’s women’s lacrosse team in goals (52) and assists (16) to earn Northeast Conference Midfielder of the Year honors and lift the Mountaineers to a second consecutive league title … and it almost never happened. Hurlburt told PressBox in the spring that she wasn’t planning to exercise her extra year of eligibility following the 2021 season, but her teammates — and one other person — convinced her to return. “My mom wanted me to go back,” she said, “and really, I didn’t feel like I was done.”
