One day in early May an Orioles home run chain just sort of … appeared? Turns out, Orioles fan Merrill Heim (“Fired Up Guy”) brought it to the Orioles’ May 1 game against the Red Sox and gave the chain to first base coach Anthony Sanders’ son, Logan. “I told Logan, ‘Please wear this. It’s going to bring us good luck. We’re going to take the series,'” Heim told MASN in September. “… He took it from that day. He took it down into the locker room, and after that I haven’t seen it since, besides around the necks of our players.”
