Best Rivalry Buzzer-Beater
Basketball players dream about hitting a game-winning shot … but how about hitting a shot from beyond half court as time expires to win a rivalry game? That’s what Coppin State guard Nendah Tarke did in January at Morgan State to lift the Eagles to a 79-76 win. Tarke told PressBox a couple weeks later that he didn’t think the shot was good out of his hand. “I thought it was off to the left, actually,” he said. “… I knew the distance was good enough, but I thought I missed left and we were going to overtime.”
