I’m going to list my favorite plays for today’s slate of games. Things are always subject to change due to players sitting or games even being postponed. Make sure you are paying attention to any and all late-breaking news, and try to use common sense if a point spread moves up or down. The plays I LOVE are my top plays for the slate. 2-1 ATS yesterday.
Phillies -115 Blue Jays — Zack Wheeler grades out as the No. 1 pitcher on today’s slate. Yusei Kikuchi has been a magician this year. His strikeouts are up, and he has been getting out of jams all year long. I think the Phillies’ bats can get going today and Wheeler pitchers a gem. Take the Phils.
White Sox-Cubs under 8.5 — We have a great spot for an under play here. The wind is blowing in from center about 10-12 mph. It’s going to make it much more difficult for home runs to be hit. Kyle Hendricks is an extreme ground ball pitcher, and Touki Toussaint has been pitching well as of late. Take the under.
Rangers-Angels under 8.5 — We have a great pitching matchup with two pitchers that were acquired via trade facing off against each other. I love Jordan Montgomery and when he is on, he can dice up any lineup with strikeouts and soft contact. Lucas Giolito has been solid throughout his career. I think we get that great pitching duel. Take the under.
