I’m going to list my favorite plays for today’s slate of games. Things are always subject to change due to players sitting or games even being postponed. Make sure you are paying attention to any and all late-breaking news, and try to use common sense if a point spread moves up or down. The plays I LOVE are my top plays for the slate. Whether you fade or follow, good luck!
Here are a few of my top plays. To access my full slate, subscribe at conncretelocks.com.
Rays-Rangers over 7.5 — Tyler Glasnow has a 0.46 ERA in three career starts against the Rangers, but he posted 4.86 ERA in the month of September. I love this matchup for both sides for bats. I’ve been a Jordan Montgomery fan this year — he has won me a lot of money — but I don’t love this matchup for him. Take the over.
Phillies-Marlins over 7.5 — Tough games today. This is my second-favorite play of the day. I love the Phillies’ bats, especially Trea Turner today. He grades out as my No. 2 hitter on the slate. We are going to need a long ball or for the Marlins to outlast Zack Wheeler and get to the bullpen. Take the over.
Twins-Blue Jays under 7.5 — This is the best pitching matchup of the day. Kevin Gausman is going up against a strikeout-heavy lineup. Pablo López has been great all year and gets a right-handed-heavy lineup. Take the under.
