Beau Brade, Corbin Burnes, Blake Horvath and Michael Locksley recently joined Glenn Clark Radio. Here’s what they had to say.
“Me coming here to the Ravens, everything happens for a reason. Whether that’s how I’m impacted, being in such a great organization, or how I can impact people that are watching me or are around me, I feel fortunate. I feel like everything happens for a reason, so I’m trying to make the most of it.”
– Ravens safety Beau Brade (Maryland, River Hill) on making the roster as an undrafted free agent on “The Arthur Maulet Show” Sept. 10
“It’s been really fun. To come from Milwaukee to here, it was a similar young group over there to an even younger group over here. This group of guys, they were really close. Obviously a lot of them came up together. They were all drafted together, played in the big leagues together. It was a very close-knit group of guys. They were very welcoming to me and my family when we came in and accepted me as one of theirs. It’s been a fun year.”
– Orioles ace Corbin Burnes Aug. 20 on what spending the 2024 season in Baltimore meant to
him
“Our new offensive coordinator, [Drew] Cronic, he’s done a great job at installing a new system exactly how he wants it. He’s a really innovative play-caller. I think coming into the year we knew that we had a lot of good weapons on the outside. … I think we really wanted to get them the ball more in space and in receiving positions. It’s just been really beneficial to us and helped out our run game even more to set up some passes off some runs.”
– Navy quarterback Blake Horvath Sept. 18 on how the Mids’ new offensive coordinator opened up the offense this year
“I think you may have missed my speech in Indianapolis when I talked about my give-a-shit gauge being on empty. In a position like this, you know you’re going to take some shots. I’ve taken shots my whole career.”
– Maryland football coach Michael Locksley Sept. 18 on how he deals with critics after disappointing losses
