2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Road Show
Hoops fans packed arenas to see Caitlin Clark play collegiately and professionally this year. The show came to College Park in February, with Clark delivering a 38-point, 12-assist performance in a 93-85 Iowa win in front of a sellout crowd at Xfinity Center.
Maryland was down, 58-40, early in the third quarter but fought back to twice take a two-point lead later in the frame.
Terps star Shyanne Sellers credited the crowd for helping her team get back in the game. “They gave us a lot of energy to fight back,” she said. “That’s huge for us.”
