2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.

Colton Cowser had a March and April to remember.
The eventual AL Rookie of the Year runner-up hit .303/.372/.632 during the stretch, including a particularly memorable night in Boston when he collected his first and second career home runs in an extra-inning win against the Red Sox.
For obvious reasons, mooing became a popular greeting for Cowser when he came to the plate, got a hit or made one of the many excellent defensive plays he produced during the season. Orioles fans donned cow costumes and milkman uniforms. In June, an entire left field section, known appropriately as “The Pasture,” was dedicated to the phenomenon.
