2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best College Athletes: Aysia Miller
Regardless of the sport, athletes can bring value to their team by being willing and able to play multiple positions. UMBC volleyball’s Aysia Miller takes that to another level.
She has served as a setter, outside hitter and libero at various times throughout a five-year career with the Retrievers. UMBC needed Miller at the libero position this fall, and all she did was earn America East Libero of the Year honors for the second time in three years by leading the conference in digs per set (4.23).
She finished her career with 1,402 digs, eighth in program history.
