In the weeks leading up to the trade deadline, it was clear the Orioles needed to add a veteran stabilizer to not only shore up the rotation for a playoff push but to help out in 2025, too.
The club found exactly that in Zach Eflin, who recorded a 2.60 ERA in 55.1 innings and won five of his nine starts.
The Orioles also took on Eflin’s entire $18 million salary for the 2025 season, perhaps signaling a new era of roster-building under owner David Rubenstein.
