Caden Bodine, Mark Fine, Ike Irish and Aaron Wiggins recently joined Glenn Clark Radio. Here’s what they had to say.

“Being a three-sport athlete was a lot of fun. I definitely learned a lot. And it did kind of narrow down the choices. I think the biggest helper was wrestling, just kind of the accountability piece of it, understanding your body and how it moves and that kind of transitioned into baseball as well.”

“Something that we’ll take a look at in the offseason is that in the middle of the eighth, you have some teams across Major League Baseball — I worked at one of them, I worked at the Mets, where we, when I was there, added ‘Piano Man’ as a tradition in the middle of the eighth. And in Boston, they have ‘Sweet Caroline.’ … So those are sort of some of the things that we’ll look at.”

“If I can hit, I’ll be happy. I don’t care where it is. If it’s catcher, right field, left field, first base, DH, to me it doesn’t matter if I can hit. That’s what I love to do, and if I can play defense at a high level, anywhere, I’d like to do that as well.”
Orioles first-round pick Ike Irish July 16 on whether it’s important for him to continue catching as a pro

“I think so much of it was just understanding that the NBA is a super competitive league and there are a lot of times where maybe your role gets minimized, maybe you see more opportunities. But the people who find ways to last and to stay in the NBA, the guys who find success are the ones who are able to withstand whatever ups and downs they go through.”
