Joe Serpico shares his top fantasy football waiver-wire pickups heading into Week 10.
Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks: Is this the same guy who once famously said he was seeing ghosts on the field? Darnold was flawless in the first half and finished with 330 yards and four touchdowns in a primetime beatdown of the Washington Commanders. He has finished as a top-10 QB in four of his last six games and has a suspect Cardinals defense up next. If you lost Jayden Daniels to that gruesome injury, Darnold needs to be on your radar.
Devin Singletary, RB, New York Giants: Many thought Tyrone Tracy Jr. would be the next in line after Cam Skattebo’s injury, including me. That was not the case on Sunday against the 49ers, as Singletary finished with more snaps and touches than Tracy. Neither was effective in their limited work, which makes both hard to trust in fantasy lineups this week. Both can be rostered for the time being until we get more clarity on situation, but I am using little to no FAAB to add Singletary.
Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts: The Colts came down to earth after a terrific start to the season, but Pierce has quietly been productive all season. He had six grabs on 13 targets for 115 yards and leads the NFL in yards per catch. Pierce has double-digit targets in two of the Colts last three games, and Indianapolis figures to throw it more as their schedule gets a lot tougher the rest of the season.
Parker Washington, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars: Washington is essentially the last man standing for the Jaguars after a rough week of injuries to their receiving corps. Travis Hunter was placed on injured reserve prior to the game. Brian Thomas Jr. and Dyami Brown were both forced out against the Raiders on Sunday, and their status for Week 10 is unclear. Washington reeled in eight of nine targets for 90 yards, but the Jaguars draw a tough Texans defense next week. Washington is a solid WR3/FLEX option for desperate fantasy owners.
Colston Loveland, TE, Chicago Bears: The rookie finally took advantage of extended playing time with six receptions for 118 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The second touchdown was one to remember, as he somehow escaped multiple Bengals defenders to score the game-winning touchdown. If Cole Kmet misses Week 10, Loveland is a steaming option.
