This is the time of the year I am going to stress rostering as many of the handcuff running backs listed below. Stashing a handcuff running back in case of an injury is more valuable than a fifth wide receiver.

Jaylen Wright, RB, Miami Dolphins: Wright saw extended playing time with injury to De’Von Achane over Ollie Gordon II. Wright rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries and is the handcuff to own for Achane owners. The injury to Achane does not appear to be serious, but if he does not play in Week 15, Wright becomes a must start for fantasy teams.

Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles Rams: Corum is the rare “backup” running back who is FLEX-worthy for fantasy football managers. He finished with one fewer carry than Kyren Williams in Week 14 and led the backfield with 128 yards and two touchdowns. Williams is still getting the majority of the snaps, but Corum is making an impact when on the field. Anyone weak at running back should add Corum.

Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Cleveland Browns: Fannin has been featured in this space a couple times this season but remains available in roughly 60 percent of fantasy leagues. The rookie had eight receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown against the Titans and looks to be one of Shedeur Sanders’ top targets. Add Fannin if you are struggling to find production at tight end.

Top Handcuffs (Rostered in less than 50 percent of leagues)

Kenneth Gainwell, Pittsburgh Steelers
Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons
Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams
Brian Robinson Jr., San Francisco 49ers
Ray Davis, Buffalo Bills
Emanuel Wilson, RB, Green Bay Packers
Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans
Tank Bigsby, Philadelphia Eagles
Jaylin Wright, Miami Dolphins
Dylan Sampson, Cleveland Browns
