2025 marks PressBox’s ninth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Return
The Orioles badly missed Félix Bautista at the back end of the bullpen in 2024 when he was rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. As such, his return to action in 2025 was a sight for sore eyes.
The fan favorite made his first spring appearance on March 3 and his first regular-season appearance on March 29 and recorded his first save on April 12.
Bautista posted a 2.60 ERA and struck out 50 batters in 34.2 innings, showing flashes of his old self before undergoing season-ending surgery on a torn rotator cuff and labrum.
