PressBox’s third annual Best Of is here, featuring more than 60 honorees, including best win, best save, best dynasty, best atmosphere and much more.
Best High School Turnaround
Centennial High School was unable to field a football team for the 2017 season due to a lack of participation. The Eagles then went 0-9 in 2018 and won just one game in 2019.
But that victory — a 41-26 win against Mt. Hebron in October — snapped a 25-game losing streak. Head coach Billy Martin’s team scored 28 points in the fourth quarter, including a pick-six by senior Anthony Matthews to ice the win.
