Best Overdue Honor
In his sixth year of eligibility on the writers’ ballot, former Orioles pitcher Mike Mussina was finally elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in January.
Mussina finished his career with a better WHIP, more strikeouts per nine innings, better strikeout-to-walk ratio, higher WAR and better win percentage than first-year inductee Tom Glavine (2014), but we definitely haven’t obsessed over that for five years and those are totally just random stats we happened to think of.
