Best Perseverance
Like Shaquil Barrett, Stanton Kidd (Edmondson-Westside) took the very typical path from Baltimore to Colorado State University to major professional sports.
Kidd’s path, however, had a number of stops, including South Plains College in Texas, North Carolina Central, Limburg United in Belgium, Tigers Tubingen in Germany, the Utah Jazz summer league squad and Darussafaka Basketbol in Turkey.
He finally made his NBA debut with the Jazz in October, almost 10 years after graduating from Edmondson.
