There’s an incredible, super-fast, remarkable young local athlete who has been turning heads and dominating his sport this year. And there’s also Lamar Jackson.
Mt. Airy native Daniel Romanchuk claimed the wheelchair division title in the Boston Marathon (the first American to win since 1993) … and the London Marathon … and the Chicago Marathon … and the New York Marathon.
He’ll represent the U.S. in the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo, and if we had to guess, he’ll do pretty well.
