Mia Smith, a sophomore basketball standout at Clarksburg High School in Montgomery County, was nominated for the high school player profiles series by head coach Sissy Natoli.

Smith plays on the girls’ varsity basketball team. She has accounted for more than 725 career points, more than 200 steals and rebounds and more than 150 assists during her two seasons on the team.

“Mia is a very talented, high-energy, up-tempo and intense basketball player who has the ability to be a game-changer at any time,” Natoli said. “She has great fundamental skills to go along with her fierce competitive spirit.”

The sophomore guard helped lead the Coyotes to back-to-back division titles, a first-ever regional title and the best record in school history (20-5) this past season.

“Mia is a great captain, leader, role model, and truly a pleasure to coach,” Natoli said.
