Luke Evans, a baseball player who recently graduated from Quince Orchard High School, was nominated for the high school player profiles series by Cougars head coach Jason Gasaway.
“Luke came to us as a junior from Utah. Luke immediately sent a high standard of excellence as an athlete and a student. During his time at QO, he has had straight A’s and been the moral compass of the team. Luke was second on the team in hitting last year, but more importantly, he is the hardest working young man in the weight room and on the field.”
Gasaway is proud to be associated with Evans for more than on-field reasons.
“If you could make a mold of how a young man should be, Luke is that mold,” Gasaway said. “He is of the highest character, works tirelessly, and is always gracious of those around him. If I could clone a player, Luke would be that player.”
