ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Maryland men’s basketball team’s 2020-21 schedule was announced Nov. 18 by the Big Ten Conference.

The schedule includes home-and-home league matchups against No. 7 Wisconsin, No. 24 Rutgers, No. 25 Michigan, Purdue, Minnesota, Penn State and Nebraska.

Maryland is slated for single matchups against No. 8 Illinois, Indiana and Northwestern at home, in addition to No. 5 Iowa, No. 13 Michigan State, No. 23 Ohio State on the road.

Maryland’s Christmas Day matchup at Purdue marks its first game on the holiday since defeating Iowa in overtime, 78-68, in 1984 at the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Game times were also announced for Maryland’s games against Old Dominion (2:00 pm), Navy (3:00 pm), Mount St. Mary’s (2:00 pm), Monmouth (7:00 pm) and George Mason (3:00 pm).

The season will begin with no fans in attendance at XFINITY Center out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our student-athletes and fans. Maryland athletics is hopeful that some fans will be welcomed to XFINITY Center as the season progresses and health conditions permit.
