Towson men’s basketball guard Jason Gibson chatted with PressBox about his favorite memory of growing up in Severna Park, his favorite summer vacation spot and more.

PressBox: Who was your favorite sports star growing up?
Jason Gibson: My favorite sports star was definitely Steve Nash. I looked up to him a lot because he played soccer and basketball. Those are the sports that I played, so he’s definitely somebody that I looked up to.

PB: What was your favorite sports team growing up?
JG: For basketball, it was Cleveland because of LeBron. I was born in Baltimore, so I’ve always been a fan of the Ravens.

PB: What’s your favorite memory of growing up in Severna Park?
JG: My favorite memory was probably playing outside in my neighborhood just with all my friends playing football. That’s definitely something I wish I could go back to.

PB: What’s a bucket-list place you haven’t visited?
JG: The Bahamas

PB: What’s your favorite summer vacation spot?
JG: Bethany Beach

PB: What’s your favorite guilty food?
JG: Probably Sour Patch Kids

PB: What’s your favorite spot to eat in Towson?
JG: Probably Cheesecake Factory

PB: What’s your favorite campus to visit on a CAA road trip?
JG: Elon

PB: What TV show have you binged lately?
JG: Lately I’ve watched “Survivor.” They put “Survivor” on Netflix, so I’ve been running through those episodes. It’s one of my favorite shows.

PB: What’s your favorite movie ever?
JG: I’m a big Adam Sandler guy. I love all Adam Sandler movies, so I’ll just go with “Billy Madison.”
