The Terrapins, who were ranked No. 5 in ESPN’s Way Too Early Top-25, will play one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country. Maryland will face three of the other four top-five teams in South Carolina, defending national champion Stanford and Baylor, as well as No. 8 NC State, in its non-conference slate.

Maryland returns all five starters, all five All-Big Ten honorees and 10 of 11 letterwinners from last year’s Big Ten Championship squad. The Terrapins return their top eight leading scorers from last year’s squad, which led the nation in scoring with 90.8 points per game and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. Rising juniors Ashley Owusu and Diamond Miller are Maryland’s leading returning scorers. They both earned All-Big Ten First Team honors and were Big Ten Tournament Co-MOPs.
