Orioles prospect Colton Cowser recently spoke with PressBox about his favorite vacation spot, the show he recently binge-watched and more. Cowser was selected by the Orioles out of Sam Houston State with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft. He hit .375/.490/.492 between the Florida Complex League and Low-A Delmarva this summer.
PressBox: What is your favorite vacation spot?
Colton Cowser: I don’t really go on many vacations, but I would have to say anywhere with a beach just to relax, hang out, soak in the sun a little bit, so anywhere there’s a beach.
PB: What is your bucket-list place to visit?
CC: I’d have to say somewhere in Europe. I feel like Greece.
PB: What is your favorite guilty food?
CC: Pizza. I love myself [some] pepperoni pizza.
PB: What is your favorite food to eat back home in Texas?
CC: I’d have to say any type of Tex-Mex, or I love myself some Whataburger.
PB: What was your favorite sports team growing up?
CC: Just growing up in the Houston area, I’d have to say probably all the Houston professional teams. I liked watching the Texans, the Rockets and the Astros.
PB: Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
CC: Probably Craig Biggio
PB: What is your favorite movie of all time?
CC: “Avengers: Endgame”
PB: What TV show did you binge-watch recently?
CC: I actually watched “Friends.”
PB: Who is your favorite musician?
CC: Cody Johnson
PB: What was your favorite Southland Conference road trip while you were with Sam Houston State?
CC: I enjoyed going to Southeastern Louisiana. That was a cool area, a cool environment.
