2021 marks PressBox’s fifth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Decision
If we’re being honest, it was really the only decision they could make.
Leading 36-35 with a little more than a minute remaining against the Chiefs in September, the Ravens were faced with a fourth-and-1 from their own 43-yard line.
If they punted, they’d be giving Patrick Mahomes and the mighty Kansas City offense the ball needing only a field goal to win.
So they didn’t punt. The Ravens got to the line quickly, Lamar Jackson kept the ball himself, picked up 2 yards and iced his first-ever win against the Chiefs.
