2021 marks PressBox’s fifth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Rivalry Renewed
In July, Towson and Morgan State announced the resumption of the “Battle For Greater Baltimore” football rivalry, with commitments for annual meetings through 2027.
When the teams finally squared off at Morgan’s Hughes Stadium in September, it was particularly meaningful.
It marked the first game for both programs since 2019 as both chose not to play spring seasons after the 2020 campaign was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
