You truly do not see this every day. Allow me to set the scene.
UMBC men’s soccer is facing Stony Brook in the America East quarterfinals in November. Goalkeeper Quantrell Jones made six saves to help get the Retrievers to overtime and eventually to penalty kicks.
In the eighth round of the shootout, he made a spectacular save … then he got up, went to the spot himself and scored the deciding penalty kick that allowed the Retrievers to advance.
What can we say? Get you a keeper who can do both.
