2021 marks PressBox’s fifth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best College Athletes: Diego Fagot
Navy linebacker Diego Fagot led the Naval Academy defense in tackles for three straight years from 2019-2021. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound inside linebacker is a savvy and instinctual defender with a relentless motor who plays the game with unmatched passion.
In addition to his team-high 94 tackles, Fagot had 11 for loss, a sack, a forced fumble, an interception and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. He earned first-team All-AAC honors for his work.
Fagot finished his career with 282 total tackles.
