2021 marks PressBox’s fifth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best College Athletes: Kendall Bresee
Clemson defensive end Bryan Bresee is far from the only high-level athlete in the Frederick-based Bresee family.
Kendall Bresee averaged 13.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for the Mount St. Mary’s women’s basketball team in 2020-21. Bresee earned NEC Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors for her efforts, but helping the Mountaineers win the Northeast Conference meant the most to Bresee after the hardships of a COVID-impacted season.
“Last year … was so difficult and hard for everyone,” Bresee said in the fall. “Just having that glimpse of happiness and excitement, it trumped it all.”
