2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Restart
Heston Kjerstad was drafted by the Orioles in June 2020 and then had to wait … and wait … and wait some more to make his pro debut. He missed all of 2021 with myocarditis and the beginning of the 2022 season with a hamstring strain. He made his debut with Low-A Delmarva on June 10, more than two years after his last action at Arkansas. He hit .309/.394/.457 between Delmarva and High-A Aberdeen, then won Arizona Fall League MVP honors by hitting .357/.385/.622. Double-A Bowie is next.
