2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Tiger Tenure
Towson University announced in November that Rob Ambrose would not return as the school’s football coach, but that decision shouldn’t overshadow the impact the Towson grad made during his 13 seasons as head coach. Ambrose went 76-76 with the Tigers, including a terrific run in the early 2010s. From 2011-2013, Towson went 29-10 overall and earned two trips to the FCS playoffs (reaching the championship game in 2013). He also sent several players to the NFL: Jordan Dangerfield, Ryan Delaire, Tye Smith and Terrance West.
