Best Unlikely Champion
Baltimore native Damion Lee‘s path from Calvert Hall to NBA champion was far from a sure thing. He had to go to prep school to earn a shot at Drexel. After fighting his way back from a torn ACL, he got a chance to finish his college career at Louisville but went undrafted in 2016. After grinding through the Summer League, G League and 10-day contracts with the Hawks, he finally found a home with the Warriors. It all paid off in June, when he won his first NBA title.
