2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Well-Deserved Honor
For the last two decades, Baltimore’s Noel Acton has been using the game of hockey to help at-risk youth in the city find a new direction. Through The Tender Bridge and the Baltimore Banners team, Acton and his group have guided thousands of city youth toward the sport and a better path. In June, the NHL recognized Acton with its Willie O’Ree Community Hero Award, which included a $25,000 prize and a trip to the Stanley Cup Final.
