2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Brian Benzing
You might have heard that the Baltimore area has produced some high-level swimmers in the past. How about another in Brian Benzing? The Ellicott City native and Towson star won CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Year honors for a second consecutive season in 2021-22. The highlight of Benzing’s season came when he set a Towson and CAA record in the 100-yard breaststroke (51.47 seconds) during the preliminary round of the NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships in March.
