2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.

What’s one way to know an athlete has been dominant? How about winning the same awards … twice in one school year! That was the case for UMBC sprinter Caitlyn Bobb as a freshman. She won Most Outstanding Track Performer, Most Outstanding Rookie and the Coaches’ Award at the America East Championships during the 2021-22 indoor and 2022 outdoor seasons. By the end of the spring, she held school records in the 200 meter (23.44 seconds) and 400 meter (51.84 seconds).
