2022 marks PressBox’s sixth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.

If the MEAC Pitcher of the Year also hits .347/.463/.611 with eight home runs … that’s pretty good, right? That was the story for Jordan Hamberg during his sophomore season with the Coppin State baseball team, which won the MEAC to earn an NCAA Tournament berth. “Being a two-way player is hard — that’s why not a lot of people do it — but if you keep working and keep striving on both sides, then you can be successful,” Hamberg told PressBox in the spring.
