I’m going to list my favorite plays for today’s slate of games. Things are always subject to change due to players sitting or games even being postponed. Make sure you are paying attention to any and all late-breaking news, and try to use common sense if a point spread moves up or down. The plays I LOVE are my top plays for the slate. 0-3 ATS yesterday.
Nuggets -8.5 Heat — I think this series is a total mismatch. You also have the Heat coming off that long, emotional series with Boston. I’m interested to see how the Heat defend Nikola Jokić. If they decide to let Bam Adebayo man him up, then they will get destroyed. Some people are worried about the long layoff for the Nuggets — I am not. I think the Nuggets run away with Game 1.
Red Sox-Reds over 9 — We do have a good pitching matchup here with Chris Sale and Hunter Greene. It is the best hitting weather on the slate and I love attacking these spots. Greene can get wild at times and this Red Sox team doesn’t strike out a ton. Take the over.
Padres -115 Marlins — We have a good pitching matchup between these two teams. Joe Musgrove and Jesús Luzardo both grade out as top-five pitchers on today’s slate according to my algorithm. I saw an interview with Musgrove where he said his foot is getting closer to a 100 percent and he is coming off of a good outing in New York. Take the Padres.
