I’m going to list my favorite plays for today’s slate of games. Things are always subject to change due to players sitting or games even being postponed. Make sure you are paying attention to any and all late-breaking news, and try to use common sense if a point spread moves up or down. The plays I LOVE are my top plays for the slate. Whether you fade or follow, good luck!
Padres-Phillies over 9.5 — Note the 6 p.m. start time on this game. I raved about this spot on the morning show today. Fly ball pitcher (Yu Darvish) against a fly ball hitting team. On the other side you get the Padres and they are absolutely going to hit the hell out of the ball today against the Phillies. I love this spot.
White Sox-Braves over 9.5 — A little bit of rain and then it’s going to get humid real quick. The ball is going to carry and the Braves get a hard-throwing fly ball pitcher. Charlie Morton has been giving up some hard contact, so I think the Sox will score some tonight as well.
Tigers-Mariners under 7 — It’s the best pitching matchup of the night. Luis Castillo and Eduardo Rodriguez both can dominate an opposing team’s lineup. If I had a concern, it would be Rodriguez. Will he be rusty? No concern here. The numbers look good and even if he only goes five innings, the Tigers’ bullpen has been really good this year.
