I’m going to list my favorite plays for today’s slate of games. Things are always subject to change due to players sitting or games even being postponed. Make sure you are paying attention to any and all late-breaking news, and try to use common sense if a point spread moves up or down. The plays I LOVE are my top plays for the slate. Whether you fade or follow, good luck!
2-1 ATS yesterday.
Orioles-Astros over 9.5 — Great home run hitting weather today and I think we see a few leave the yard. We get a pitching matchup of Jack Flaherty making his Camden Yards debut and Cristian Javier, a fly ball pitcher, pitching for the Astros. There were fireworks last night and both teams had to use some key pieces of their bullpen. Take the over.
Cubs-Mets over 9 — This is the best hitting weather of the entire slate. We get two subpar pitchers in Kyle Hendricks and David Peterson. The Cubs have had the best offense in baseball since the trade deadline. Last night’s game should have went over the total, but Carlos Carrasco kept getting soft contact and a few really nice plays in the field. Take the over.
Royals-Red Sox over 10.5 — Great hitting weather here, and we get an absolute gas can with Jordan Lyles. Nick Pivetta is going for the Red Sox, and he got touched up by the Blue Jays in his last outing. I think both of these teams score a bunch today, but I love the Red Sox bats here. Wouldn’t mind parlaying a Rafael Devers or Adam Duvall homer today with the over.
