I’m going to list my favorite plays for today’s slate of games. Things are always subject to change due to players sitting or games even being postponed. Make sure you are paying attention to any and all late-breaking news, and try to use common sense if a point spread moves up or down. The plays I LOVE are my top plays for the slate. Nationals-Marlins over 8.5 — This is the best weather spot of the day. There are only four MLB games today. We get a pitching matchup of Braxton Garrett and Joan Adon. Adon has a ton of potential, but he’s been getting knocked around a bit and Garrett has not been as good as he was in the first half. Take the over.
Minnesota -7 Nebraska — Minnesota opens up with Nebraska to kick off the college football season tonight. Yes, I do realize we had Week O last week. I think the Gophers will have success throwing the football against Nebraska. The Cornhuskers have a transfer QB coming in from Georgia Tech and I think it’s going to take some time for this offense to figure things out. Take the Gophers.
Utah -4 Florida — I would love to have seen Cam Rising playing in this game, but he is still recovering from an ACL injury. It’s opening night for the Utes, who are an incredibly well-coached team. I think that stadium will be rocking. I love this spot for Utah.
