I’m going to list my favorite plays for today’s slate of games. Things are always subject to change due to players sitting or games even being postponed. Make sure you are paying attention to any and all late-breaking news, and try to use common sense if a point spread moves up or down. The plays I LOVE are my top plays for the slate. Illinois +14 Penn State — We get a conference game with the home team getting two touchdowns. I’m not telling you that Illinois will beat Penn State, but I definitely believe they will keep this game relatively close. Penn State gets Iowa next week. That will be a top-25 matchup.
Texas A&M -36 Louisiana Monroe — Talked about this game on the podcast. With A&M’s loss to Miami last week and an extremely tough schedule ahead, I think they are focused and Monroe gets taken out behind the woodshed. Blowout!
North Texas-Louisiana Tech over 67.5 — I think we get a shootout here. Both of these teams will be able to score on the opposing teams defense. It’s a close spread with La Tech favored by 4.5. I think North Texas gets the run game going this week. Take the over.
