2023 marks PressBox’s seventh annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Another Man’s Treasure
Ravens fans were a bit underwhelmed when the team finally plucked former No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney off the proverbial “scrap heap” midway through training camp in August.
They were almost completely unmoved when injuries forced the team to pull veteran Kyle Van Noy out of his new career as a YouTuber a few weeks into the season.
But the moves proved to be a stroke of genius from general manager Eric DeCosta, as by the end of November the pair had combined for 13.5 sacks for a team that was leading the league in that department.
